It's feeding time at the zoo! If you want to be reminded of some of the great animals our world is home to, you might want to pay a trip to Frank Buck Zoo, located 1.3 mi (2 km) from central Gainesville. If you have fun at Frank Buck Zoo, you'll love Santa Fe Depot Museum, located nearby.
If seeing the sights is on your list of things to do, head to Cooke County Courthouse— just one of the landmarks located 0.7 mi (1.1 km) from central Gainesville.
Gainesville is applauded for its live music and theater with such cultural attractions as Santa Fe Depot Museum and Butterfield Stage Players. Visitors highlight this family-friendly city's casinos while sights include Cooke County Courthouse and Frank Buck Zoo.
The town was very nostalgic with beautifully restored buildings. There is even a working Tran depot! The candy shop on the courthouse square was so much fun! The restaurant called Sara's on the Square had amazing food and service!! Loved the zoo too

I would recommend Krootz Brewing Company and The Rib Crib as definite places for food and drinks. Food and service were excellent at both places.
