Coyote Mountain Lodge
10/10 Excellent
"We were made to feel welcome and appreciate the late night jacuzzi. The room was spotless and parking was directly in front of the door of our room. We will definitely come back and recommend this sweet little affordable motel."
"We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean, bed was comfortable. The breakfast is a continental style breakfast. Various bagels, cereals, yogurt and juices. The coffee was excellent. They have activities for kids outside such as cornhole, an activity spot for kids with a slide and other things. A giant connect 4, and horseshoes. They offer s’mores each night which is very nice. Plenty of areas to have your meal outside if you wish. A pool is available as well as a sauna. The sauna gets nice and toasty. You can use the hot tub and indoor pool at their sister property next to them which we did and it was very nice. Close to downtown Estes Park where you can enjoy shopping, whiskey tastings, and good food. The staff are accommodating and professional. We would stay here again. "
"My husband & I were happy with our choice to stay at Dicovery Lodge!! Our unit had a view of golf course & pond……but the best part was the nature. There were elk & geese walking on the property! My husband just sat outside on his chair & took pictures. "
"This was definitely a different kind of stay for us. We're from out East where YMCA locations typically don’t come with resort-style lodging—this one felt more like a summer camp campus meets mountain retreat (in a good way).
We only stayed one night, in dorm-style housing, and while it wasn’t luxurious, the room was clean and tidy, and we slept well—even without A/C. The lack of air conditioning didn’t bother me, but my in-laws are used to more traditional hotel comforts, so it was a bit of an adjustment for them.
The grounds were beautiful, with mountains all around and a peaceful vibe, despite lots of teens playing sports on the lawn near the main lodge. The foyer area could’ve been cleaner, but the office and on-site store were great and well-run.
Overall, this place would be an awesome base for a longer stay with the kids. Tons of open space, outdoor activities, and a family-friendly atmosphere—just don’t expect hotel-style amenities. We’d gladly come back for a longer adventure."
"We were on a three week and your hotel by far met our expectations. We loved sitting on the upper patio to play cards in rhe fresh air surrounded by views of the mountains all around us. Friendly and helpful to find places for elk, food and Rocky Natl Park."
"This is a good family hotel option for visiting Estes Park. It’s in a good location, close to downtown but not in downtown. Easy to access the road to RMNP. Near lots of good food. I was able to run to and around Lake Estes easily (5 miles).
The hotel itself has been renovated and updated since I first stayed there as a child! The pool and game rooms were big hits with my three children. The room itself was fine. I am shocked that they only have one elevator in the building but somehow that works. I like the added touch of giving us a s’mores kit upon arrival. Will for sure stay here again. "
"Absolutely the Best!!♥️ Clean, breakfast was Delicious throughout our stay. Very clean dining area and Super staff! Will recommend and definitely stay again!! Oh and forgot to mention location 👍"
