Rouen City Centre
Rouen City Centre whisks you back to medieval France with its soaring Gothic cathedral and timber-framed houses leaning over cobblestone streets. Joan of Arc's legacy lives on in the square where she met her fate. Wander through pedestrian-only lanes to discover astronomical clocks, hidden courtyards, and museums showcasing Norman heritage. The dining scene celebrates local flavors with duck confit and Calvados in charming bistros around Place du Vieux-Marché. Boutique hotels in converted medieval buildings offer historic charm with modern comforts. Getting around is easy with walkable streets and the TEOR bus connecting to outer districts when your feet need a break.

Quartier Vieux Marché-Cathédrale
Quartier Vieux Marché-Cathédral transports visitors through centuries of Norman history with every step on its ancient cobblestones. The magnificent Gothic cathedral towers above half-timbered houses while the striking Gros-Horloge clock marks time as it has since medieval days. History buffs will be moved by Joan of Arc's execution site, now commemorated by a modern church. Art lovers can duck into the Musée des Beaux-Arts between explorations of winding pedestrian lanes. The neighborhood's traditional Norman brasseries serve apple-infused dishes in charming timber-framed settings. Most accommodations are hotels in converted medieval buildings with exposed beams and stone walls. The pedestrian-only streets make walking the ideal way to explore, though the cobblestones demand sturdy shoes.

Centre Ville Rive Gauche
Centre Ville Rive Gauche lets you step right into a medieval storybook with its stunning Gothic cathedral where Monet once set up his easel. Half-timbered houses lean in to create cozy passages while cobblestone streets lead to museums showcasing Norman heritage. The neighborhood's pedestrian-friendly zones make exploring the historical treasures and boutiques a total breeze. Traditional Norman bistros serve up cider-braised dishes perfect after a day of sightseeing. You'll find charming accommodations in converted medieval buildings throughout the area. Three tram stations keep you connected, though honestly, your feet are the best way to experience this walkable slice of history.

Quartier Saint-Marc - Croix de Pierre - Saint-Nicaise
Rouen's Quartier Saint-Marc - Croix de Pierre - Saint-Nicaise neighborhood is known for its bars and riverfront, and entices visitors with attractions including Rue Eau de Robec and Aitre St. Maclou.

Gare-Jouvenet
Rouen's Gare-Jouvenet neighborhood makes an ideal base for practical travelers who appreciate authentic local vibes. The beautiful Belle Époque railway station anchors the area with its ornate ironwork and glass canopies. Beyond the station bustle, quiet streets reveal traditional Norman half-timbered houses and modest local cafés where you can enjoy apple-based dishes and regional cheeses. Budget-friendly hotels and guesthouses offer excellent value just steps from trains to Paris, Le Havre, and beyond. The historic center sits just a 15-minute walk away, with local buses running every 10-15 minutes when you'd rather save your steps. Neighborhood bakeries and small markets provide a glimpse into genuine French daily life without the tourist crowds.

Radisson Blu Hotel, Rouen Centre
"The hotel was beautiful and clean. The staff were amazing. I highly recommend this hotel."
Hyatt Place Rouen
"Only stayed here for one night but we had a great time. Room was large, AC worked great, comfortable bed. Had dinner and breakfast the next morning in the restaurant. Excellent! Would definitely stay here again."
Mercure Rouen Centre Cathedrale
"Room a good size and clean, well set up at checkin. Car parking is available at the hotel, although it is a restricted space and larger cars are a tight fit. It’s also quite complicated to reach the hotel the first time. Great breakfast with wide choice for the family. Fantastic location with easy access to historic Rouen and shops."
Hôtel Mercure Rouen Centre Champ-de-Mars
"The hotel staff is amazing. From the moment we entered the property until we left they were very helpful and exceptionally pleasant. We were provided amazing directions on all the must see sites along with additional tips. The room was clean and comfortable. The amenities were bare with only a combination soft soap/ shampoo, no conditioner or lotion. Parking is tight but very secure. The location is superb. We enjoyed our stay."
Novotel Rouen Centre Cathédrale
"Very clean hotel. Excellent customer service at front desk. Breakfast had to be the best so far in France!"
Terres de France - Appart'Hôtel Rouen Flaubert
"The house was pretty nice but it didn’t have that good wifi"
Hotel de Bourgtheroulde, Autograph Collection
"We stayed for three nights. On our first night there was a problem with the AC so we were moved to an upgraded room for the following two nights. They were very helpful and understanding. Both rooms were lovely and the beds were very comfortable. Lovely quiet location and vibes inside the hotel. We made use of the spa too which was lovely."
Hôtel Cardinal
"Nice small room right across the street from the cathedral. Clean and comfortable property with the smallest elevator I have ever seen. Hard to get to because of the pedestrian zone but parking is reasonably close. Great restaurant downstairs."
Hotel Litteraire Gustave Flaubert, Signature Collection
