Beautiful campus, great city if you are a Tar Heel fan! E. Franklin St is the place to be for fun, food and souvenirs, just don't speed. The police love writing tickets for going just one mile over the speed limit, waste of the court's time!

Good
My in-laws used to here and we were passing through. It has changed and grown so much, feeling more like a city and less like a small University town. Still interesting restaurants to be found, but just too crowded for me now.

There are a lot of people on bicycles and on foot at any given time. Drivers need to always look left and right before they pass through an intersection. And that is fairly different than my neck of the woods.

Wonderful public park with a tennis court a few blocks away. Worth your time.
"Great hotel. Nice location. The staff in the morning was a bit lax and didn't have coffee cups available. I asked for some and he disappeared and never came back lol."
