St. Helena is a good place to visit in the off season (winter time) when the traffic is lighter and the restaurants less crowded. Wine tasting though, isn't what it used to be pre-pandemic. Tasting now costs $50-60 and is not comp'ed if you buy wine.

Downtown St. Helena is a nice little area, with several very good dining options, both coffee/breakfast and dinner. Many little shops with unique offerings offer a inviting break between winery visits.

In addition to the many boutiques and galleries in St. Helena we walked to the Orin Swift Cellars Tasting Room and Model Bakery. Great meals at Press and Cook St. Helena.

Model Bakery (the English muffins). We did a few wineries but certainly can not speak for all of them but V Sattui definitely has a great variety and amazing little gift/cafe area.
