We just started to explore St Paul and we love it. We found a great hometown bar where we sat with the locals and had a few drinks, went on a haunted house tour. St Paul is a beautiful area with lots to explore.

Walking the Skyway was interesting. CHS Field for GLOW was pretty cool. The European Christmas Market was fun. The Ordway Theater was also enjoyable.

St. Paul has a reputation of the awkward step child to Minneapolis. However, the area by the hotel is fun, music in the park, Saints ball games etc. There is plenty to do if you are willing to look.

Use Yelp and check out the local eating establishments, don't go to a chain. St. Paul has a variety and you can't go wrong.

The city has seen quite a bit of crime since Covid. But generally if you stay on the main drags, you'll be ok.

It could be cleaner. The frequent police sirens in the middle of the night are somewhat disturbing.
