"The hotel itself was a charming older hotel with a large room and nice fixtures. The bathroom was quite nice and spacious. The surrounding area offered very little. We were only staying for one night and we ended eating from the Big C (equivalent of 7-11) on a he corner. The pool, though not big, was nice. The breakfast buffet was so poor as to not qualify as breakfast at all but the fortunate and surprising exception was the coffee. The coffee was satisfactory but that may have been good timing...

"Lovely hotel with beautiful view of the sunset every night. Only downside is that its a little bit away from the markets and centre of town, but tuk tuks / taxi's easy and cheap enough to get there. "

"The condition of the hotel is excellent as it just opened months ago. The cleanliness of the room wasn’t the best, it could be as they are still training staff, I expected better for 5 stars. There is a loud nightclub downstairs across the road which we could hear at night until late. The bed was comfy and the buffet breakfast was nice. "

"We stayed at Vientienne overnight to transfer from Laos to Vietnam and choose to stay here. The hotel is brand new and the attention to the details of the staff, their helpfullness and kindness was distinguishing.

, pool and rooftop bar was a bonus with a nice view of the monument. They also have a more resort style hotel called Souphattra Heritage, this one looked more like for business travelers which we loved to enjoy the quietness over the weekend."

"Pleasant, honest staff (I left about US$50 in my pants and brought my clothes to the laundry - the $ was returned the next day with a smile). Had breakfast buffet every day while I was there dinner 2x and laundry = US$59, a bargain by any standard. The hotel is in a great part of town, close to the river and many shops and small, delicious restaurants, and local massage. Highly recommended. "
