"We stayed here for a couple of nights for a long weekend exploring the Yorkshire Wolds. The location is great, being close to a few larger towns like Driffield and Pocklington, but also close to some amazing walking including a stretch of the Yorkshire Wolds Way. The room was really lovely, the staff friendly, and the food and beer fantastic. We will definitely stay again when we're next out this way! "

"Great stay at Thompsons Arms while visiting family in the area. Clean and comfortable room, very friendly hosts and must mention the terrific cooked breakfasts!
An added treat was the local musicians playing folk songs in the bar, a monthly event, so lucky to catch it :-)
Also a convenient location for visiting York, which was as delightful and interesting as ever."

"Very nice stay, staff were very welcoming and friendly. The hotel is very traditional and the rooms spacious but needed some TLC. For example half empty toiletries and no toilet roll. Overall though this is a nice and friendly pub hotel and great value for money with the bonus of nice staff. The food in the pub was great and good value for money and the hotel
