And speaking of food, wow!
We ate in the bistro, and the food was stunning, and very reasonably priced...

"We booked what was described as a "Luxury Double Room" at £200/night. Our room was very small, just enough to walk round the bed. The mattress on the bed has seen better days. The en-suite shower room was OK.
I wouldn't describe this as luxury in any way!

"Very pretty country location. The rooms including common rooms were all lovely. The tiny bathrooms were cramped and windowless and let the property down. Breakfasts were lovely, with lots of choice. We didn’t have dinner there, as prices were over the top, compared with what we were paying in other locations on our trip around the UK. "

. All staff very friendly.
Only thing is we had to pay a charge for parking (£12)
as we booked with Tesco Club card, charge service charge for drinks and they added a £1 donation for plant a tree. It would be nice if you were asked if you wanted to contribute before adding it to your bill."
