Lots of roadwork going on right now in the center of town which may put a few people off, but once finished things should be quite nice. Many new cafes, restaurants, shops have opened recently. City events happen regularly. Wine country nearby.

Atascadero is an adorable little town. There's great hiking and really fun restaurants, including a great sports bar next-door and a really fun outdoor beer garden across the street.

I love a small, quaint town like Atascadero. I just wish I had rolled through around a holiday & had more than one night to stay. Loads of places to eat around the hotel or within a block or two. Lovely area's to take an evening stroll. I'll be back.

Atascadero is a nice little town and we enjoy staying there. There seems to be a lot of new construction and new places opening up so we look forward to future stays there.
"The hotel was in a great spot with lots of parking. Uber cost was about 10 dollars to the Pismo pier, way worth the price over the headache of traffic and finding parking. Complimentary drink vouchers and breakfast was good. Definitely would consider staying again. "
"Expansive property with a variety of lodging options ranging from two-story buildings, motel-like, to individual bungalows: duplexes and singes. 257-step walking trail leads down from the far end of the property, which borders a forested and poison oak-draped flora, to Burton street below. Burton offers a variety of stores and restaurants. Convenient. Also easily accessible by car. Quaint, quiet, well-kept lodging facilities."
